Processors
Processors act as an intermediary between you and your payments. Depending on your needs one or more Processors will be set up for your account.
Our team will configure your Processor(s) for you during the onboarding process. If you need to update or extend your Processors, reach out to us.
Payment Flow
Payment processing uses your preconfigured Processors. Each transaction will be initiated with the chosen Processor.
Revere Payments doesn't have to set up individual Processors for different payment methods. One Processor works for every payment method.
If you are using the Hub, just simply select the Processor of your choice. If you are using our API, just simply use the given processor ID.
Processors are displayed in your transaction details and you can also filter for them in the Reporting if needed.
Transaction Amounts are always sent to the Merchant's Revere Payments Wallet. The funds of the wallet can be withdrawn to a connected Bank Account.
Processor Types
Revere Payments differentiates two types of Processors:
- Basic
- Advanced
Basic Processors
A Basic Processor is used for simple payments. No split-funding or affiliate partner is involved.
Advanced Processors
An Advanced Processor is used for payments with split-funding. At least one affiliate partner is involved.
Revere Pay offers real-time split-funding. This means that your transaction will be split before settlement.
For you to be able to split-fund a transaction, you'll need to have at least one Affiliate Partner connected to your account. Revere Payments will set up the configuration for you. Affiliate Partners are Merchant accounts connected to your account. When a transaction occurs, the Affiliate Partner(s) will receive the set amount.
One transaction can have multiple affiliate partners, not just one. This means that the transaction can be split into more than 2 parts.
The Affiliate Partner involved in the split-funding transaction also needs to have a Revere Payments account.
